Hello from Melbourne, AU

We arrived here in Melbourne this morning.  The port is one of the most beautiful so far.  Sand beaches in downtown!  Looks like Chicago in the summer.

We are taking an excursion from the ship this afternoon. It is reported to be 112 degrees today. Hmmm. I am in my swimsuit coverup dress ready to go with plenty of sunscreen on.  I need to pick up a hat right away.  We are taking a bus trip throughout the city and a river cruise on the Yarra River to see the city scape by water. This will give us an overview of the city so that when we come back in March, we can see the rest!  So much to see and do in this lovely city.  A bit hot now but perhaps it will be cooler in March. We are hoping.

This is a war memorial in downtown Melborne.  A beautiful building with many additional statues and smaller memorials.

Our river boat cruise. We were packed in there like sardines! I was actually stuck to the guy next to me, it was hot and close!

  1. I saw the news about high temps in Melbourne at the tennis matches. Hopefully you are will escape some of it being on the boat. It's very cold again in the midwest...I am anxious to get to Santa Fe! xoxoxo, MJ

  2. Looks like you already saw a lot of Sydney. Amazing photos of arrival in the harbor. You are in a great spot and I imagine there is much more to see and do. It's wonderful to see the sunshine and greenery all around. xoxo
