Sintra, Cabo da Roca, and Cascais and Estoril

Sintra is an old city about 16 miles from Lisbon. We took a Grayline tour which lasted about 8 hours.
Streets in Sintra and beautiful sidewalk mosaics.

Lunch and of course Portugese beer

The main attraction is the Pena Castle which used to be a convent.

  1. I am in love with all these tiles. They would make such pretty quilts. I also like the two fisted wine drinker picture of Tom! It looks the weather is prety nice there, although windy. When do you go on the river cruise?

  3. You are taking in so much of Portugal and there's more to come! I don't remember the pena palace but it was 1978 when I was there. Such fabulous photos...you are so lucky to be there at this time of year. Adeus and bon voyage!
