Salamanca, Spain

Going under a bridge on the upper deck of the ship.  Not a lot of room to spare.

This is the view from the ship this morning

Something to behold...

Views on the way to Salamanca.
Salamanca was founded in the pre-Roman period. It is best known for having the oldest university in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. (1218) It is called the "golden city" because of the golden glow of the sandstone buildings. The Plaza Mayor is the central square and is known as the living room of the Salamancans. The square was originally a venue for bullfights but is now used for concerts.
