The Banking Museum, 333 Collins Street, Shopping and the Footy Game

Our guide at the State Library told us to be sure to go to the Banking Museum. The museum wa a small tribute to the history of banking in Melbourne but the best part was the building that is still a working bank. It is just beautiful.

The painting on the ceiling of the bank is gold leaf.

Still a busy working bank.

This is 333 Collins Street. It was built as a bank but is now an office building. The photos speak to the beauty.

We took in a "Footy" game and really enjoyed it. Our friends Di and Murray got us the tickets. It is a fast game.  The crowd was fun, the athletes play hard, and the rules are crazy.

Collingwood, the home team.

Etihad Stadium in Melbourne within walking distanceof our hotel.

  1. That is a day of opposite ends of the spectrum--a banking museum and a football game! You guys have covered the gamut! Now on to Tasmania--you really did save the best for last!
