Weekend on the Oregon Coast

We had a great time staying at the Wayside Inn in Cannon Beach. It was located just across from the beach at Tolovana Park. The waves were crashing in and two of the three days were foggy and rainy but on the last day the sun came out and we had a wonderful view of Haystack Rock.  We enjoyed the Christmas parties at the Seaside Convention Center AND the Cannon Beach Community Center.  We loved the pancake breakfast at the American Legion Center too.  The Wayside Inn had a great indoor pool that Joseph described as "Very Door Countyish."   He made ornaments, met Santa again, decorated cookies and LOVED watching White Christmas on TV. We enjoyed shopping in Cannon Beach, taking the tour of lighted homes in Seaside (NOT for the faint of heart), the Pig and Pancake, Sweet Basil's Cafe, and of course the fish market.
